Dear IASSIST members, The Data Management & Curation Good Practice Action Group has been working this past year to compile a list of links and resources related to Data Management & Curation. This group has been charged with “collecting a set of existing resources and links from among the membership to create a resource page on the public website covering the topics of good practice, standards, and activity in Data Management and Data Curation”.

The ARL NSF Resources for Data Management Planning pulls together resources for research libraries to support their researchers in complying with the NSF Data Sharing Policy. This portal represents a variety of sites containing examples, data management tools, and data repositories. Professionals can participate in ARL’s Group on Data Sharing Support.

UK Data Archive’s Research Data Management Costing Tool (PDF) is an activity-based data management costing tool for researchers in the social sciences developed by the UK Data Archive. This tool can be used when preparing research applications or data management plans to estimate the additional costs above standard research procedures and practices that are needed to make research data shareable beyond the primary research team.
