Applications are invited for the post of Research Support and Digital Assets Officer to join the Research Support and Digital Assets Team in the Collections & Research Support Division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a Library Service which has an ambitious and long term vision for research support.
This fixed term role will support research at King’s by administering Open Access funds to pay publisher Article Processing Charges. They will check compliance with funder and publisher policies, provide advice and guidance to researchers, update metadata and deposit full-text in the institutional repository.
Working under the supervision of the Digital Assets Manager, the Research Support & Digital Assets Officer will enter and maintain records of funding requests and enquiries, financially administer publisher APCs, produce regular reports and updates, help plan and deliver training and advocacy sessions, and support other team activities to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a proactive problem solver and highly IT literate. They will be capable of working to tight deadlines and have a strong commitment, as part of a team, to providing an excellent service to customers. Previous experience of working in an academic environment is essential.
