Applications are invited for the post of Research Support Officer to join the Research Support and Digital Assets Team in the Collections and Research Support Division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a library service which has an ambitious and long term vision for research support
The Research Support Officer will work in the Research Support & Digital Assets team to support research at King’s by supporting the delivery of a new research data management service, including provision of advice and guidance to researchers and surveying researchers to establish their research data management needs.
Working under the supervision of the Research Data Manager, the Research Support Officer will carry out analysis on researchers needs to feed into the planning of the service, enter and maintain records of data management plans and enquiries, produce regular reports and updates, help plan and deliver training and advocacy sessions, and support other team activities to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a proactive problem solver and highly IT literate. They will be capable of working to tight deadlines and have a strong commitment, as part of a team, to providing an excellent service to customers. Previous experience of working in an academic environment is essential.
