The Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC), one of Germany’s leading peace research institutes, is seeking a social science data specialist broadly trained in quantitative and qualitative methods to maintain, update, and expand BICC’s databases and provide methodological guidance for empirical research projects. BICC welcomes applications from all areas of the social sciences, but is particularly interested in candidates with topical expertise in peacebuilding and conflict analysis. Candidates should know or be willing to learn German. This position is for an initial period of two years and will be remunerated according to German civil servant pay scale. BICC is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting human security through the efficient and effective transformation of military-related structures, assets, functions and processes.
